Well I went out to look at this 76 maverick because my friend wanted to buy it and since iam the car guy I was brought along to check it out. Needless to say it needed some work and since the paint wasnt glowing(black Primer)and the seats were riped he passed it up. I talked the owner down from $400 to $320 since there was no battery and a flat tire with no spare I had to get fixed. So here Iam.

I kinda like the blacked out look. it also has a white vinal top. it used to be a real light green color almost yellow w/green interior. right now iam trying to decode the vin to see what engine it has. all i know is its a stright 6 automatic. might be pulling the 5.0 out my lincoln to swap in depending on how hard it is. ive seen pics of people who have done this so i know its not impossible. Thanks for any help, you can tell from my user name I dont know too much about fords but if anyone needs some help with an olds I can tell you anything you need to know.
