I thought a small stock looking wing on the back of my 76 would look pretty cool. any recomendations? did mavs come with wings stock? another option would be to pull one off another car. has anyone else tried anything else like this? keep in mind i DONT want some ugly looking honda import p.o.s. on the back of my mav. Thanks for the help
68-71. you will have to find an aftermarket repop most likely. im sure the originals go for big $$ PM mercurycruizers. find out where he got his.

the sun shade is a whole different animal. every once in a while one will pop up for sale, but they are mav comet specific.
I figured they were specific, but no repos for sale out there? I dont want to get off topic. so what about that spoiler? will it fit right, not too wide across?
The one on the rear of my mav is off a 71 torino cobra. Got it from my brother for CHEAP!!! it fits pretty well as you can see in the avitar..
There is a guy that has repops on the sunshades also. He's been listing them on eBay but his asking price has been $350. Might not be a bad price since the originals are extremely rare. They are made slightly different than the original one on my car but they still seem to look pretty good. I haven't seen one in person.
I highly recomend the rear wing from '85-'92 Firebirds ('82-'84 Trans Ams) for the big-bumper Mavericks & Comets. I paid $45 for the one I bought a few years ago...
they are probably a little easier and cheaper to get than a repo ford one. a 85 firebird in my neighborhood was what gave me the idea in the first place.
i know this is a dumb question... but i wonder how a rear wing spoiler would look on a four door? any ideas?
85-92 Firebird spoilers definitely fit the "big bumper" cars better than some of the other ones out there. IMO the Boss and Torino spoilers look awkward because they sit too high on the rear end; whereas the Firebird spoiler makes everything flow a little nicer. Here's a pic of my 74 Comet GT.
