Will a large bell housing C4 pan fill work with my 70 maverick?

I ordered a transmission as some of you know from a company on ebay. They jacked my order up and I am nearing my wits end trying to deal with them. I would like to know if this transmission will work with my 70 maverick as far as clearance issues. Will the big (164 tooth flywheel) transmission bell housing clear the trans tunnel/headers and will the pan fill tube interfere with my headers. I have the correct block plate, flex plate, and tube for this transmission but the real question is will it work or has anyone done this swap in their maverick? And what are the complications? I need to know cause I believe that if I bolt this combo together the company i purchased it from may definitely never take it back.

    thanks,
    Kyle

Not sure that it will help much, but I have used the 164 tooth flywheel and 11" clutch without issue.
I didn't know they ever made a 164 tooth flexplate...
    Should be fine though.
The crossmember and pan should not be an issue either. No real difference from a pan fill C4.
Now the dipstick tube is the only thing I might worry about...
Measure the clearance your headers have from the pan at the point your new tranny has a dipstick... then measure how far the tube protrudes.

    Edit:
    That was a good link!
They make it sound like the tube WILL be an issue for header clearance.
That is BS that they send you a truck tranny when you obviously would be ordering a car tranny!
The link is pretty convincing that the pan fill never came in a car.

I have 1-3/4" Primary Tubes Headers (Hooker Supercomps). I had to 'ding' one of the tubes to allow clearance for the starter flange (on the bell-housing) .... ON A 157 tooth flexplate Bell Housing.

I dunno what headers you are running, but I can tell you that I'm 99% sure you won't be able to run that bell-housing with the big tube headers.

However...... you should be able to pick up a used 157 tooth BH for less than $50 (I did). Just an idea.
