Who makes a simple valve spring compression tool for the 250 head, the one for my v8 won't work...anybody shed some light....
Here is mine. I bought it when I was rebuilding the head on my 250 last year. Worked great. Since then I have used it on a 302, F.E. 360, and a 351M400. Also loaned it out to my buddy who used it on a 350 Cheby. Works great. I bought at Advance Auto. I think it was like $18.99.
thanks Jamie, I sent my son to the 24 hour auto groan and picked up a tool...bout 20 bucks. the head is now nekid and will be pickup today, it should be ready tuesday afternoon, valves and everything looked good so the will be prepped and put back in. New 3 angle valve job, a little head opening up and a bit of polish on the exhaust sides and 3rd and 4th cyl. seperation...anybody got good used 250 header??well that can come later when things are better...
a valve spring tool, a claw hammer, a scroll saw and marvel mystery oil, Jamie, what the heck were you doing?
Thats just stuff laying around my garage. Our garage is set up for welding and fabrication. My dad does it on the side as a hobby. He mainly fixes old BMX bike frames. If anyone needs anything welded and done right, let me know. Others have tried to duplicate what he does, and so far no one can and my dad just has to fix what they screw up. Should have seen what he could do body work wise. He could weld in a patch panel and it would need NO bondo when it was done.
