Hi, I have a 70 maverick, I know absolutly nothing about cars but actively learning so far I have done all the body work and painting myself. I have impressed myself but others snicker. Now I want to attempt the engine it looks drab I believe its a 200 secound one down from the largest I do know its a 6 cylinder please stick with me, I wont learn if I don't ask so can anyone guide me as to where I start with vamping up the engine as well as where I can get a book on this. I would like to get more power and make engine look good. Thank you so much (I never thought I would love fixing this car as much as I do - I'm hooked)
    thanks again
    gail (desperate houseperson)

There's a lot of info on the subject (and some parts) available at http://www.fordsix.com/. There's also been a lot of debate on the subject here on this board, in case you haven't already done a search for it.
