Question on this, I tried to buff mine out and it rubs down in spots I can see the grey primer. Is it possible that my paint is just THAT deeply oxidized?

I worked on it a few months ago and that happened,

This last weekend I tried Mcguires on it and it just doesn't bring out shine it looks streaked and though it is a little shinier it doesn't look right. I am worried about going through to primer. Any suggestions.

hum paint sounds really thin. you using the meguaiars cleaning wax? the meguaiars can be a bit greasy and leave those streaks but it depending and which one you are using. you might wanna try the mothers carnuba cleaner is a bit less harsh and will finish it off. i always use like three levels of wax (of course it depends on the car finish) a Cleaner, A Carnuba Cleaner and a Pure Carnuba
