    Similar trick when fixing a broken water pipe in your house. Hard to sweat a pipe that is constantly dripping when repairing the fix. The trick is to stuff the pipe with bread while you sweat & solder the pipe to fix the problem. When you turn the water back on ... the bread washes away.
