When were you born in relation to the introduction of the Maverick

well i don't feel so old any more i was in my mommas belly during the watts riots, i was born about four years before the first mav, viet nam had started um lets see i'm not very good a history.....1965

 

Yep, happy and carefree; 6.5 years before Hirohito sent his planes to Pearl Harbor or 34 years before the first Maverick!

 

Damn, you older then my grandpa! Not older then my grandma on my dad's side (1929) or my great aunt (1921) though.

 

I was born December 18, 1977, my first mav was a 1976, I own a 1970 now and loving it but I do miss the 76 v8 power i had built.

 

Man there are a lot of old farts on here!

January 1980. 10 years and 3 months newer than my car.

Distinguished cars of my youth. The 3rd generation F-body, 5.0 mustang, Turbo Regals, GNs, and T-types. My generation has introduced the car world to the rice rocket. I apologize in advance.

 

Add one more old fart to the list. I was born in 1958 only 14 years before my '72 Grabber.

 

I was introduced in January '73 as a '72.5 model. So me and my car are roughly the same age. I'm thinking of putting on a 73 bumper so I can tell my freinds that we are twins.

I was working for WILSON FORD in Huntington beach ca when the first mav rolled off HADLEY auto transport truck never thought to much about it then 22 years later I went to work for HADLEY auto trans. then 7 years after that i bought me 71 Grabber for my son as his first car

I have a 73' Maverick and that was the year my son was born.

 

Feels strange driving a car that was made before I was born...

My car now is a 71 but I'm a 72 and my first was a 73
