    What year tank

    Did you use the 1964 to 1968 mustang 16 gal fuel tank (Dimensions: 32-5/8" x 24-1/2" x 8")
    Do you think a 1969 (Dimensions: 30-1/4" x 22" x 9")or a
    '70 tank (Dimensions: 30-1/4" x 22" x 9-3/4") would fit?

I used the smaller tank. I received word that someone else used the larger tank and did not have to shorten the tank straps. I have not tried that so I cant say for sure if it is true or not.

    22 gal

Well I am going to take the chance and order the 22 gal 1970 Mustang tank. I will post how it works out. I will probabily order the tank next week. I have some free time at the end of the month to work out the details of the install.

    How much ya got?

I have to go look at a 69 1/2 tomorrow. If I get it, I will be able to better tell what it will take to get the tank in there. I'll keep ya posted.

    Tank Armor

This might be useful fitting a mustang tank in a Mavewrick with a drop in tank and make it safer to. I figured I would cut the maverick trunk to make it fit and then weld it in place. As it turned out I did not buy the early maverick.
