okay I've seen alot of posts about headers and some threads people say they bolt right up and others say you gotta switch to floor shift

What I am looking for is the various brands and part numbers of the headers that will bolt right up WITH THE COLUMN SHIFT .. WITHOUT MODIFYING THE HEADER

I want to order a set from Jet Hot precoated and I'll be darned if I am going to ruin a 2 or 3 hundred dollar ceramic coating or spend six months dealing with returns credits reorders and all the crap

so I would appreciate any input you guys have for a '75 maverick with a 302 AND A COLUMN SHIFTER c4, for long tube headers which DON'T require changing to floor shift .. beating the primary tubes to half original diameter .. or pulling the engine to install them

    thanks

PS .. economical pricing is good since apperently Summit won't take my left kidney in trade for car parts ...

The only ones that I know of that fit with a column shifter is Hooker super comp 6110 (they are expensive).

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
i have hered you can modify the linkage to make the column work with 6901's

i will order these in a week or two but i will change it to floor since i'm not very fond of column shifters

I have 6901 with column shift, but I remod the shift linkage.Without remod it not works.I did it last summer. Now I plan to go to the floor shift, reason is, with the remod shift linkage the shifter cant go further than D , hardly go to 2-nd. When I put the headers, the engine and the gearboks rubber pads are old. Now I rebild the engine, put new pads and i want to use higher rpm shift points, but I cant shift manually. So the floor shifter is what I need.
(sorry, english is not my native)
