Does any one know if the repop mtr mounts have the torque bolt through them have a couple of old used ones but don`t want to rip one and scratch my new painted engine bay. Thanks
I don't know about the repops, but you could always drill a hole in the stockers and put a bolt. Done it many times myself.
Hmmm.... are you guys talking about bolting the two parts together (making 'solid' motor mounts)?? I was going to put a Torque Rod from a threaded hole in the left side head and run it to the frame (using a Heim joint). I can't really picture the mount and support right now and am too tired to go look (=lazy) but the idea of bolting the two together sounds easier.
Just put a hole through the top plate, rubber, and bottom plate. Then use a grade 8 bolt to marry the 3 parts. This can be somewhat solid if you tighten the bolt very hard, or you can retain some flex if you just snug the bolt. Use a locking nut. Dave
