The z-bar mounts just ahead of the steering box (you will have threaded holes in your frame rail) and to the threaded boss on the block just in front of the bellhousing. The line of sight between these to points must remain open to mount the bar.

Clearance is also need for the lower half of the z-bar to pivot. The lower arm is connected to the lower clutch rod which is connected to the Clutch Fork. Again ... this entire area must be kept clear to allow it to work.

Your best bet would be to have somebody with a V8 and stock manifolds and a 3-speed take good pictures of the setup ... or ultimately borrow a V8 z-bar setup to design the headers around. The Hooker 6901's are bent in such a way to allow the V8 z-bar setup to work and that is what I and several others have in their cars. However ... the z-bar is so buried within the Hooker Header that a good picture is pretty much impossible or I'd try to help out.

I knew I liked you for a reason!

I am very excited.. you tell me the exact minute that the first set will be off the "line" and I will leave about 2 hours before that (that is about how far I live from him, for all of you that don't know)!!!

This is very very cool, and I think everyone, including me, is exstatic!:yup: :29:

    I will answer for you....
He said in one of the previous posts that he would have to check with the sales representative about any sort of figures on these headers...

Looks to me like the tubes are not an issue with the equalizer bar.
However, the position of the collector is.
If the collector was either either terminated much higher, or lower, you could get the exhaust pipe on with a z-bar.
As it stands right now, it appears that one would have to choose either to have a down pipe on the header, or a z-bar, but not both.
Same thing you run into when using a non-Maverick exhaust manifold...

Jayman is really the guy who went out on a limb and let me use his car, and has nice pics of 1st ceramic coated models. Where the hell are you man? We need those pics! All else fails, I have a couple on my machine at work that I can post tomorrow.

I could really realy use a set of these soon, like before my Hooker super comps get shipped from backorder.

Motor will be going back in in about a month.
