I was thinking of getting this header for my Maverick : http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/itemdy01.asp?T1=BA56+01&Category=&catkey=emustang any thoughts? Ive yet to see a maverick I6 with headers, just 'stangs and falcons so I dont know for sure what header will actually fit in the engine bay of a maverick
if you have a 250 it will fit, but the starter will hit the header if it's a 200 so i've been told .these show up on ebay now and then at a cheaper price last one i saw went for 60.00
Here's a pic of my 250 with a similar header. There is plenty of room for the header and decent starter clearance.
It's a Clifford coated header. The car has power steering, but all of that is on the opposite side of where the header goes.
Sweet, nice job, looks good Thats pretty much the way I want to go with mine along with a functional ram air from my new hood. Well atleast I feel better knowing its all possible, thanks
correction on my post the header for a 250 will fit a 250 but a header for a 170-200 will not fit the 250 because of starter thats how it was explained to me sorry for confusion i've been looking for a header for 6mos but they don't come up on e bay the best price i found is about 350 shipped and i don't understand why as it's just one side
i hate how much those things cost. i only paid $99 for the pipes on my monte and $150 for the ones on my cutlass. wish i had a welder and pipe bender The cheapest header i could find was from mustangsunlimited.com item BA5601 there single out but they are chromed for $240 you can get the black or non-coated for a little less
