the drivers fender seems good and the trunklid seems good.I can bus ship them to you unless you want to drive up and pick them up.i will get some picks taken and you can decide if you can use them or not.i bet shipping will be around 60.00 to 80.00 depending on the wieght.

    It fits.
Shock tower mods help, but are not a must.
The W fits without mods as well. They are both just a tight fit.
The C is bigger than a W until you put exhaust on the engines.
The W exhaust comes out the side of the head, straight at the towers, and therefore becomes wider with exhaust.
The C exhaust does not add any effective width to the engine when installed. So they are the same width when installed with exhaust. The C exhaust points downward and hugs the block better. No tower interference.
Plug changes are an issue with both engines when you don't shave the towers.

71 Maverick grabber 350 chevy streight front axel narrowed danna 60
    70-77 mavericks

I have a chevy 350 in my 71 mav. also a 350 turbo, but of course the shock towers are gone all the way and i have a front streight axel under mine plus it has a narrowed dana 60 with coil overs hard bar and detroit locker with 5-38 gears . It is fully tubbed and has a 10 point cage in it , so mine is set up a little bit different than most of what you guys have . But i was told that you can slide a pretty good size motor in one if you know what you are doing . Mine was already set up for strip & street we just dropped the small block chevy in it because the guy that had it before me had a pontiac big block in it and it was a wheel stander at the track so we decided to keep it a chevford and run it sometimes at the track but keep it most of the time on the street as a gasser type vhicale . I belong to The Imperials Car Club here in Imperial Mo. i have the only car of its kind in the ST. Louis area so i'm pretty proud of it .
    Thanks

I don't really think ANY of that information pertains to a 1971 Cougar... but ok.....

I have seen a Maverick with a cleveland and headers without shock tower mods. It fits, barely. :D At the Roundup this year, Sara had her maverick with the cleveland and it was very impressive at the strip. Motor was stock including exhaust manifolds.
