Why is that? They can be attractive free-flowing exhausts.
I think they look a little gaudy but somebody likes them because the sell.

I'd have them, without the shields too. I already have what I have, but next go around ...Doug Thorley Shorties and long chrome side pipes, [IMG].

I had the Doug Thorley show tubes, had many a people burn themselves when exiting my car. Even after I warned them, guess that is part of the reason you never see me wearing anything but long pants.

The longer the better. I got 60" and wish I had gone for the 70". I just felt that the 60s started too far behind the wheelwell (see pic). The 70s would come out from under the car closer to the front. You can move them forward and back until you like where they sit, weld or bolt them up, and then hook up the tubes to the headers.

I had to get rid of them because they would not bolt up to my long-tube headers (Hooker 6901) without some serious constricting turns, so I scrapped them.

All of the negatives brought up on this thread are true...But, regardless, I loved the way they looked and sounded.

If you don't mind going to a shorty header, they would be simple to bolt on.

One more thing, you need to watch your ride height, as these will "high center" on speed bumps, shop lifts, etc. if the car rides too low.
