Thanks again, guys. I can't begin to describe how exciting it is for me to have this car, and to bring it back to life again and not have it end up in the graveyard like so many of them do.
Dale, I bought the car down near your neck of the woods (Northville.)

Nice to see another Michigan person here. :) If you are near the Detroit area you may see me and my Maverick driving around at some point...

I don't think I'll see you cruisin' around Mark, unless you head up this way ;) I'm near Lansing. :D

A meet sounds good to me, well if it's next year anyway....summer or fall would be great, and I'll have my Comet street ready by then!

Welcome to the board Andrea! Good to see another Michigander here. That idea of a Michigan mini-meet sounds good. Count me in. Too bad Lansing is a ways out, I will have my Comet at the Mount Clemens cruise on August 12th. Any one near by come on out, It's been lonley being the only Comet/Maverick at all of these East side cruises!! Steve/ITSACOMET!

    Thanks for the "welcomes"! :tiphat:
Yep, Mt. Clemens is about 2 hours south east of me :( Seems to be most of the Michiganders here are closer to the Detroit area. It's pretty lonely up here!
I'd still make it to a meet or cruise, at least a couple of times a year......traveling doesn't bother me but the gas prices do. :rant2: lol

I agree. $3.25 a gallon for 93 octane keeps me around the east side these days! Keep us posted on your restoration. Looks like you have a good head start with that Comet. Steve/ITSACOMET!

Hello Andrea. That's good to hear. I saw a Maverick last year that was for sale near me, but I haven't seen one for sale since.
