I have to register my Mav this month and was thinking about getting personalized plates this time around. I have narrowed it down to: 1BADMAV or 70MAVGT. Gimme some input please....also I know that there must be some creative plates on the boards, so maybe post up some examples as well as suggestions. I would've done the poll thingy but wasn't sure how! Thanks in advance!(y)

Both your choices are great; or MAV8TOR, OMYMAV Just an idea. Might be good for someone.

    Nothing special

I still have an old plate I once had. It read "735*TCH". I was going to try for "73B*TCH" but I don't think they will do that. :D

I like both of yours. For my '69.5 I am thinking "69 5MAV" or "ITSA 69" or "RARE 69" or something like that...

I definately want a personalized plate on that car. My last 2 plates were "HA20UJ" on my '74 Grabber and "HA48UK" on my '72. Sounds kind of boring for a Maverick if you ask me. :)

I Don't Know What You Have In Your Car But If You Put "1badmav" For Sure Someone Will Try You On It. I Put "4dr8uup" On Mine And I Do Get Alot Of Challengers, Especially Imports! Good Thing I Am Too Old For Street Racing ( Most Of The Time ) Ha Ha

I tried all the combos I could think of, including all variations of "DELLA" (the name of my wife's great-grandmother, original owner) and finally just got a new unused 1974 plate and registered it with that one.

Hope nobody steals my identity now that I have my license plate showing on the forum :slap:

Now I have a nice chrome ring around it, so it looks much nicer.

These all sound good, and I know what you mean about getting challenged JMiller! I wanted something unique and kinda bold to describe how I feel about my Mav. I put in alot of work and just can't see running around with the plane ol' blue plates on there. I also am not a big fan of the newer white Cali plates either.

It Is Definatly Fun To See The Challengers. ( By The Way, The J Stands For Jason) We All Build These Cars With Love So A Custom Tag For Me Was A Must Have. In Florida The Antique Tag Is Also Blue And It Looked Bad Against My Green Car. Just Go With Your First Instinct On Picking One. That Always Seems To Work Out.

When you go to the tag office you will need several ideas or versions of what you would like to have on your tag. Don't be suprized when they tell you thats already taken. I had to go through several versions of PART-TIME to get it on my tag. I ended up with PART TME. They only allow 7 characters on Fl. tags.

I asked for GRAB HER but the lady helping me did'nt think if was appropriate.:D
