I hate to tell him that 350 horsepower plus a 100 shot WILL NOT get a 3000 pd. car into the 9's in the 1/4 mile. I think maybe he meant 1/8th mile or 1,000 foot.

and he runs the 1/4 in the 9's under 6000 rpm. I'd love to know his secret.

    All that HP...

...and he has a onefitsall $2 universal radiator top hose.

I can't tell. Did he cut the shock towers?

the shock towers look stock to me and he seems to have a lot more room than i did when i had a 351 in mine. also for a 8 or 9 sec car the battery is still in the front and hehas hidden the roll cage very well. maybe he got a 60 mph rolling start.

Looks real clean but I can't stand how people lie about their car's performance. And there's no way I'd pay 4 grand for a car with a cracked dashpad...

hey i resemble the "battery in the front and goes 9's" LOL but i aint sportin the factory dist. maybe thats the secret?? lol...

i think he meant to hit the 1/8th mile instead that i could see rather easily with the numbers..

    nice car... really

I'm sure the specs on this car are a little off .. because there is no 1/4 mile track within 300 miles of him, only 1/8 tracks.... the pics of the car do it no justice ......The car is very very nice. I've seen it up close, that mav, and my own are pretty much the only two hot rodded mav's around. (were from the same town) his is alot nicer than mine and I have way more than four grand into mine.
as far as the shock towers I don't think they have been cut, I seen the car at a show earlier this summer, and don't remember if the're cut or not... thinkin they were not?

    Here we go again...

...I can hear those questions now:

how did he get a 351 in there without cutting?
    did he heat and bang?
    is it really a 351?

    Fire away guys.

But WHY would anyone put that amount of money and time into a car and leave a cracked dashpad in it? Seems ridiculous to me...it's like the guy didn't finish the job. That's something that is always in view--right in front of you. It's got woofers & a power amp in the trunk. I don't get it...

I dont understand why everybody is raggin on his car. can you make your car to look that nice for that money? Ok maybe some of his description is a bit weak, but does that really mean his car is weak? No way! you couldnt build a mav like that for that kind of money!

I think people are raggin' on it because of his bogus speed claims. Doesn't look like a bad car, but that engine seems to have a lot of space and those towers look virgin.

    Hmmmm...

I was ragging on the description, not the car. I agree that you would spend more than $4000 to get the average car in that condition.
