Comet Gt Hood Scoop Location

    Does Anybody Know How Far Forward From The Rear Of The Hood The Scoop Should Be? I Dont Want To Miss The Proper Spots For The Holes. This Is A Factory Scoop. Any Help Would Be Great! THANK YOU!!!!!

    I measured 1 7/8" in the center, from the back of the scoop to the edge of the hood.

    make sure you check from all sides for correct position....I just did this and I had no problems....just remember, measure twice, drill once.
    The holes you drill will go threw some of the hood supports.

    maverick 5946, where you get that hood if that is the pic of you car lookin for one for my 73 comet gt, need the functioning ram air

    the picture in my sig. is not a comet scoop. the comet scoop is on my yellow car.

    The one on the black car is a topic of ridicule and pain for many years :D
    People say its a MOPAR scoop....but it is actually a modified 429 scoop. :evilsmile

    you can cut a hole in your hood, I did that on the yellow car when I put the scoop on, it decreased the engine temp by 15 degrees when cruising down the interstate.
