Who sells fiberglass fenders (both sides) and fiberglass hood for 1971 comet gt? And am I better off with the fiberglass or does someone sell metal fenders and hood? Thanking y'all in advance. james comet
Your probably better off finding some good metal ones. None of these fiberglass companies have very good reps for fit & finish much less paying to have the stuff shipped! Find some good used fenders and hood as no one repops this stuff.
What year of Mav's and Comet's fit? I am specfically interest in the fenders because I can always find a hood. In fact, I put a Mav driver side fender on and it does not fit because there is a little notch at the very front of the comet fender and not on the mav fender. It bolts in fine but it won't line up with the door and there is about a 1 inch space of separation. I believe the mav fender is from a 1974 but am not sure. Does anyone have a couple of fenders for sale that will fit? Thanks again. james comet
the fender without the notch is a later model fender. only the small bumper fenders have the notch. go to the search forum and put in small bumper swap. should be some info there.
