Is there anywhere I can get an entire rebuilt kit or something for the suspension on my '69 1/2? The steering is tight and seems pretty good, but the ball joints, and basically all the bushings are totally worn out. The front strut rod bushings are literally crumbleing away. The rear shackles are some kind of crappy aftermarket ones that are 6+ inches tall and I want to put stock ones back on. I need to replace the rear springs and all the bushings for the rear springs. At the same time, I am going to be converting it to 5 lug and front discs, using parts from my '76 parts car. I have no idea where to even begin looking...
Jamie, do a search. Someone in the last month or 3 bought the entire kit for a couple hundred off of ebay. I think there is a link to a catalog that sells the entire kit, as well. I remember because it had all the rubber, new springs, the mounting plate for the springs, all of that.
http://mmb.maverick.to/search.php?searchid=328867 Jamie, I think this link will work (a search to find that thread I was thinking about, which I never found). It looks like they all talk about American Pony rebuild kit for '72 Mustang (or 71-73, I guess).
Anyone read the Car Craft article on the Global West rebuild on their Mustang? Those control arms look sweet. I'm going that direction when I rebuild my suspension.
