Just got off the phone with Stan Johnson at Ford Powertrain # 253 848 9503
in Seattle WA area. He said he would try a fitment experiment with a step hedder 1 5/8 to 1 3/4 if someone is willing in the area. Never had a Maverick to check with but he believes the early Mustang style would fit!
Someone in the area should give him a call to try this out with him!

    BTW, it's "headers"

    Only Hedman calls them "hedders"...

    Carry on....

    they will work.

Dennis....I found the answer to the question about my headers....they are early mustang....it is the same header that Lonnie runs/ran on his blown maverick.
He can give more info on part #.

yes. :) mine are....I never knew what header I had until I talked to and seen what Lonnie had/has on his car. He knew what they were....I did not know this, but appearantly there has been talk in the past that these headers will not fit on a maverick....but I have them on mine now and so does Lonnie.

Yeah, we would like to know who made those headers...
There are some early Stang headers that don't fit our cars, so we have to be careful.

Just got off the phone with Stan. Turns out he wasn't really looking to produce a set, just thought his might fit if someone were looking. I offered to lend him the car for fitment, but he said he only gets about five Maverick calls a year so he really isn't looking to build any for them.

Seems like he could loan you a set and see if they fit the Mav.
That is not really doing anything on his part other than selling at least 5 more sets of headers a year if he was to confirm they fit.
