Engine anylizer came up with 500 hp and 750 ft lbs of torque. We'll see what happens. The 63' falcon we sponsor has been dynoed at the rear wheels with 285 hp @around 4,350 rpms and 450 ft lbs of torque @ around 3,300 rpm. At the time of dyno runs motor had stock bottom end with ARP stuff FSP 274 duration cam, ported late model log head w/ Holley 350 2v and turbo. It was runnin' 15 lbs of boost aswell.

I have a brand new 250 in my Yellow Maverick that is in my signature picture below ... any idea on the cost to get 285 HP out of it and keep the stock bottom end just like the Falcon?

I believe the cam, Holley 2V carb, ported head and TURBO(!!!) had something to do with it. :) I'll bet well over 200 hp N/A will be fairly easy to do when that new aluminum head comes out.

im guessing but looking at the pictures, looks like shock tower mods has to be done, considering that it is in mustang , and you can see how close the intake is to the shock tower. i bet that thing purrrs:rolleyes:

I'd dare say, it might take a Mustang II front end to cram that exact setup in a Maverick. It would definately be a tight fit.

Aren't the '64.5-'66 stangs the same up front as the maverick?

The towers don't look the same, but you get the same width between the towers as a Mav.

However, that engine is said to be in a 69 Stang.
If so, they have LOTS more room.
You can put a 460 in those without modding the towers.
