That's cool, but I was actually hoping to get some new ones. I am willing to pay for new ones, but I just don't know where to get them for the best price. I know that AutoKrafters used to sell them, maybe they still do. Seems like they were $25 per door, but not sure...

I am sure most already know this, but some might not.

The only part that ever wears out on these hinges are the pins and bushings. Replace those and you hinges will be like new. In extreme circumstances, the pins and bushings will wear out so bad that it will run the hinge....but that is pretty rare.

You can buy new pins and bushings in the "Help" section at most auto parts stores. The pins will be too long. You can either cut them down, or use them as is.

Craig, do you happen to know which part numbers from the "help" section fit our cars?

I don't know off hand. I think it is a universal kit. AutoKrafters also sells them.

I would like to know too, Craig, if there's any way you can find out. I found a bunch in the Help section but had no idea which ones I needed. Obviously, the ones that say "GM" were not the ones. :p

They did have the Universal ones but I didn't know if they were the ones I should get.

Auto Krafters does indeed have them but they have a $25 minimum order and the hinge repair kits are cheap...

I wasn't aware that AK had a $25 minumum order.

I would think the "Help" catalog would tell you which kit to use.

Mustangs use the same kit, so any Mustang place can also sell you the kit.

Where does a person get a "Help" catalog? It seems to me that they had a website with a search engine, but I don't have it in my bookmarks and couldn't find it anywhere else.

OK, so the official reply I received from the manufacturer is that they "do not provide a hinge pin kit for this application". How helpful is that?

Didn't craig say there is a universal kit? Just buy that and trim as necessary.
