best way to mount a harness???

    alright i have a question , this might be a dumb question but i guess only way to find out is ask....

    what is the best way to mount a seat belt harness like a 4-5 point harness???

    i dont have a roll cage yet....

    a 1971 Grabber with a 302/351
    Mine are bolted to the floor with real eye-bolts and snap hooks. I don't have a roll cage yet either. I think I will leave them this way.

    Most of it can be mounted into the standard seat belt mounts but you may want to reinforce the floor mounting pads. The hard part is the right side shoulder. Racing seats have them run through the slots in the seat - you can't do that with a stock seat. There isn't a door post over your right shoulder to bolt it to so you have to find a place and way to get one there. You could put a reinforcement across the roof and anchor your right side belt there or put a loop there and mount it behind the rear seat on the cross member that is there (properly reinforced of course). You could build in a "roll bar" behind your seat and run braces back behind the rear seat to support it. That would give you a solid mount for all four mounting points. It could also be incorporated into your final roll bar. Good luck.
