Found a nice 73 grabber, almost no rust, bench seat, v8,AC.
89,000 miles, no hood rust either
knocked on the door and a very old lady answered the door. The car
is now the owner of the grandson and it had a for sale sign in the window.
5500 seems to be a little much. I am waiting for a call from him to see what
it will really take to buy it.

For $5500, I would expect 99% rust free and a Grabber hood (I know '73 didn't have them..)

yep, thats what i have seen too, a 72 grabber, grabber hood, with buckets and a 3speed in the floor ,and a v8 for around 5000.
That is why i think 2500-3000 would be in line for this one....but cheaper is always better.

For 5500 you could have a V8 Sprint with lower miles and 99% rust free.
No Grabber hood, but you get a wide ratio toploader in lieu...

    Just a thought
...and a shameless plug for my own sale :evilsmile

yep, it is the one across from lowes, havent got a call yet but the little old lady was at least 70 years old and the sign in the car read "driven by little old lady to and from church".

most likely keep it stock and give it a paint job. I have 6 maverick 2 door cars in the yard now. have one 73 I6 stock and i am going to build up a 302 and put in the 70. That is the only one i have that doesnt have major rust through...except the hood.

well it took a couple of weeks but the grandson finally called today. He is willing to reduce the price but i dont think he will come down to 2500-3000. he is seperated form his wife and needs the cash.
