    Soon to be Maverick, hopefully
I believe I'm about ready to buy a 1970 Maverick... Only problem is, it doesn't have AC and I live in Florida.

The car needs a mild restoration still, so I'm not afraid to mess it up a little more. It's got a V8 302 auto in it.

Has anyone every put an AC system in one or is there any kits out there for this?

    Thanks :)

Where in fl do you live? If near Tampa, Classic Auto Air can do it all but they are pricey, I should know, I use to work for them.

Be prepared to spend well over $1,000.

I am fixin to do the same thing to my 69 1/2. I am going to use a 73 A/C heater box and controls and convert it to late model A/C from the firewall forward. The only thing that I have not worked on yet is how I am going to adapt the new system lines to the old style evaporator(after removing the expansion valve). But that should not be too hard to do. I have a source to crimp hoses. I have not decided yet if I am going to cut a hole in the dash or just adapt the package tray outlets in the stock tray and just use them. It will be a while before it is done because I am going out of country for a year or so and will not have access to my car. But when I get back I will have enugh money in the bank to do just about anything I want to do to the car.

Good luck on the A/C retro.
