I went to the junk yard last weekend and picked up a intermittent wiper set up out of a 1976 Maverick, cigarette lighter, and a light for the ash try. All items did not come from the factory on my 1972 Grabber. I just want to upgrade it a little. An early Christmas present!! The wire for the cigarette lighter was folded up and taped to the wiring harnass. I had to tap into a light circuit wire for the ash tray light. The intermittent wiper set up works but the shaft is too long because it is made for the later models (1973-1977) with the lighted wipe wash on the dash. I am going to save it for my 1973 Maverick I am restoring. I am going to go to the parts store and see if I can get a new switch from a 70's pick-up truck that is supposed to have the shorter shaft. Does anyone know what the part number is?????

When you got the wiper switch you should have also grabbed the bracket behind the dash and the nut and bezel from the front, then it would bolt right in. "Course then it wouldn't be 100% correct and we all know what a fanatic you are about that.

I have an intermittent wiper switch and control box out of an '85 Bronco in my '72. It's been working great since January, bolted right in and looks stock. I have one from an '87 F150 in my '69.5.
