    I was thinking these might be an alternative to for 351w Shorty style 15/8 3 inch made for cougars and mustangs. I am ordering some for my cougar in a few weeks I will mock them up on the mav just for the hell of it......

    Have you figured it out yet? I used to have a 1/2 cutaway spark socket to get plugs out of my chevy. sorry gave the socket away when I sold the car.

    Slow Comet, Was that for me? the hard to get to plugs on the Hedman 88308? If yes,m no I haven't got iy yet! Shopping for a thin walled plug socket isn't easy! Scott

    71 2 Dr Maverick, 70 Mustang Sportsroof, 77 F100 4x4, 72 maverick grabber wifes
    I believe this is the header that my buddy got for his 72 comet for his 351w swap. The problem he ran into is the mustang engine compartment is longer or the engine sets farther forward, anyhow the collectors hit the lower portion of the firewall.

    gives new meaning to fire wall...lol Hell we dont need no stinkin firewall

    I believe it was ken merring used a set of shorties and cut and welded the collector on at a more downward angle for clearance.

    Yeah, I used the same headers (88-400) and they worked fine in my 302 Mav. I am putting a 351 in my Grabber, and was thinking about using these (88-650) shorties.
