Okay if i have a 16X8 wheel with 15mm offset whats the backspace?

I know 15mm is 0.59" so do i subtract that from the width?

Backspace should be figured from the very back of the rim to the wheel mounting surface. A 16 x 8 rim will measure 9" outside edge of rim to outside edge of rim.
Offset is the distance from the centerline of the rim to the wheel mounting surface.
Negative offset moves the wheel out and Positive offset moves the wheel in.

So an 8" rim will be 9" edge to edge. 9/2 = 4.5
The centerline of your rim is 4.5"

    A positive offset of 15mm (.59") means 4.5"+.59= 5.09" that would be a backspace of around 5"

    A negative offset of 15mm (.59") means 4.5"-.59= 3.91" that would be a backspace of around 3 7/8"

I think I got all this right
