I have been talking to a few companies and they said to go with a ProCharger D1, custom cam, & 8:1 - 9:1 compression on iron heads or 9:1 - 10:1 compression on aluminum heads. And if you use a carb than you don't have to use an intercooler if you don't want to for 8 to 10 psi. But with an intercoller you can run more boost. I have read alot & talked to plenty of people but no one around here knows anything about a charger on a carb motor. Every race shop here deals with EFI's & the dyno place said that they have never had a supercharged engine on the dyno with a carb set up.

Thanks Blown 5.0 for your reply. The numbers you are running is what I want to run with my Maverick. I already have the blower set-up but thanks anyway. Can you spare me any details on your combination?

you should be able to run those numbers without a blower. i run a 308 and have run a best of 11.81 with 40 extra pounds of weight in the trunk.:)

I dont know if you were talking to me or not, but a 11.81 is a long way from a 10.90 spinning on radial tires. My maverick has 75 pounds hanging off the rear bumper for suspension tuning, it also is running 3.50 gears with 28 inch tall tires( no tractor gears here). Also the car scales out at 3500 # Mine is a true daily driver street car. Wanna Drag?

nope i was talking to mty mav. he said he wants to run low 11's or high 10's. i do my 11.81 with a n/a 308. he should be able to get what "HE" wants with a 347 without the blower set up. my car was built to run 12.00's as that is what my class allows. if you want to bracket race, bring it on. i've been the track champion for the last 2 years. lost in the finals of the division 7 race of champions this year, and came in 2nd in the division in the nhra et challenge.

Havent bracked raced in years, might be fun, might still be able to cut a 5.0? light. I run mine in the rradial tire head up classes. ( street car class).

i don't think there's anything better than bracket racing. heads up is too much who spends the most money. besides that's pretty much over my head. what tires are you running? i run the m/t et drag radials. my class can now run slicks but i love these tires. they really hook hard. :)

M/T drag radial 275/60/15, I also love this tire, 1.4 60 ft on a radial unheard of 2 years ago. I also run a class of true street radial, this is just any radial that is not a drag radial, can be pretty fun. have went 7.60 on these tires.
