Hello, I own a 71 Comet GT, i am curently in texas with my father building it, it will be my first car so i wanted a little bit of an tire smoker but nothing too intense. So far it has a 302 with holley 4 barrel, and a set of headers with turbo mufflers, took out the stick shift trans and put a c4 in with shift kit and a 3500 stall converter and a B & M star shifter in it. We rebuilt the front end and installed disc brakes and are presently looking for a 410 posi 8" or a 9" housing to fit in a Maverick or Comet. Installed new carpet in the interior and have a headliner and all new rubber seals for windows and doors. We have conveted this to electronic ignition and electronic voltage regulator. I will keep you all informed on how its coming. Happy to be in the club, looking foward to replies. Thanks, 71 CometKazie
Reply Hello, thanks for the welcoming to the club. To answer your question, I have already sold the clutch pedal assembly and the Z bar, but i do have the original 3 speed, bell housing, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot bushing also the stick it self, if you are intrested email me back, the parts are in great shape and south of houston. If intrested you can have it all for, say $50. Thanks again for the welcome, 71 Cometkazie
Wow you have been very busy. Sounds like a nice set up. Welcome & keep the updates coming. Good luck.
South of Houston? Sounds kinda close to me. Whereabouts? I am in Angleton, south on hwy 288, almost to the beach. Rolandag2 is in Dickenson, south on I-45. Maybe we can have a "South of Houston" mini meet...
Welcome From a fellow Texan in San Antonio. We are currently trying to purchase a 72 Comet GT, and are new to MCCI. Good Luck with your car. :Handshake
