I want to buy a new third member for my 72 Comet GT. Is the pinion yoke cup diameter 1 1/8''? Mine u joint has 1 1/8'' cups on it now, I don't know if the right u joints are installed. I look at websites for third members it looks like all 8'' are the same, but shows 1 1/16'' cup diameter. Also anyone have advise on where is the best place to purchase rebuilt members. Thanks

Unless you need to drive the car, have it rebuilt. It fits and you your it works with the U joints you have now. Good time for a posi unit and maybe a gear change.:drive:
