The T10 is a good transmission but not that good. Ford developed the toploader to takes its place because it was not strong enough. I have had a few over the years and still have one in my 57. One nice thing about the T10 is, it is much more compact than the toploader.

    Top loader for sale

I've got a top loader that has been completely rebuilt from end to end by Liberty Tranmission here in the Detroit area. My brother and me were going to put it in our Grabber blue 71 drag car, but later opted to go with an automatic instead for more consistancy. The trans has never even been in a car yet. I also have a used Vertigate in-line 4 speed shifter that goes with it. I'll take $750 if you're interested.

The only way this could be worth that much is if it has a part number or serial number that was unique to a rare model, like a shelby.

I am not sure if that is the case.

As a stand alone transmission, no way.

Shelby makes the 4 speed sound like MORE money!

But this is on eBay and anything can sell and does!
