Scooper, Was going to say earlier, looked like you had your fuel pump wire running from the front engine bay to rear of car. (I think I had the right pic, wasn't sure where your battery was till now) I run the wire to a solenoid, then to pump, keeping it short. Smaller wire now can run to switch in drivers area or however you energize your pump. Relays or solenoids are great for cutting out heavy wire!
My fuel pump is running off a line from the relay at the front. I had it on the same relay that ran the fan before I put in the fan relay (thermostatic switch). There was nothing at the back to wire it to, and this way, the pump stays off until I click the key to START, so I can have it on ON or ACC and run the radio, etc, and the fuel shuts off, no extra switches needed. I would gladly take suggestions for improvements, especially if there is a way to lose some of the wiring.
Why not organize and wrap it with wire wrap. It is sold by Mustang supply houses. It looks like electrical tape without the adhesive. A dab of RTV at the end of a wrap and it is just like the factory. I have heard to stay away from the flexible plastic sleeves as they don't seal and keep moisture and dirt out.
Hmm, anyone running the starter solenoid in the trunk? I really like that idea! Will the starter still get enough volts after running the cable that long? I run twin batteries so I am not worried, just curious. The wheels are turning...
cable Long cables, use welding cable. It'll handle any needs you have, and it's easy to bend. The black insulator isn't obvious either.
This has almost become a "show me what is under your hood" thread...but that is cool...Give me some really good ideas
I haven't done it myself, but have seen it on plenty of cars... It is the same as running the cable forward from the trunked battery to the solenoid. Just with the solenoid in the trunk the wire is not energized all the time, and you don't have the solenoid in the engine bay to look at. Both are pluses IMO. Dave

OK, you electricans out there.. What gauge wire from the solenoid to the starter? I think I have a new project for the weekend! Also, the "other" wires to the solenoid, what gauge to extend them to the truck? <y interior is all out so now is the time!
No electrician here! However, I would just use my cable that goes from the trunk to the solenoid up front. Mine is 2 ga or thicker. Don't recall exactly, just know it isn't wimpy. Seems to me the others don't really carry much current. I believe they are there just to energize things like a relay. Someone else should probably chime in on that though.
Summit has it for $473 PRF-10123. Seems like most of the others that are similar, even for 77 Bronco are $600+ http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=PRF-10123&N=700+115&autoview=sku Cannot seem to find it in JEGS, but usually they are pretty close in price.
"Summit has it for $473 PRF-10123" I could match it minus a couple bucks, the boss is gonna love me matching summit prices all day but its still a sale and a couple bucks in the pocket.
only prob with running wire thru the frame rail, is if you have an open or a short it would be rather hard to fix if its inside the frame rail+ all the constant moisture (for those who not scared to drive in wet )
My experience with Painless stuff was anything but.....I bought a complete harness for a 73 VW. Anybody that has fooled with VW's knows the wiring is funny, difernt than American cars. Anyway, the harness had extra wires that went nowhere, and didn't even have the wires for the front turnsignals! The rear of a 73 has seperate bulbs for stop, turn and tail, but the harness was set up for just one bulb. POS. I ended up using the wire and and old piece of a harness to make it work. I'll never buy anything from them again.
