sorry for the incorrect info i just found it on a mustang fourm and thought it was the right stuff and it would help some guys out. Thanks for the correct info!!!!!!
well thanks for the correct info. because if somebody would have bought a rearend going by some of those listed and it not fit I would have probley been getting alot of pm with alot of not so nice words words so thanks for the help. Thats why I like this fourm there is alot of knoldge here. and everybody likes to have fun
sizes Also a factor is the spring perch widths. Even thou the axle housing is the same width, the spring perches can be differnet. But those are easy to change.
That is all really neat information, but it mentions nothing about our stock Maverick/Comet rearend sizes
I believe your looking for hedman # 88300 for 289/302. They allegedly fit a '70-'74 Maverick. They are also for a '64-'73 Mustang. Youn can pick up a set from DHP @ 1-800 444-7373. In stock (usually) with free shipping. They do price matching of any nationally advertised price so I'm told. Good Luck! RTFLDGR
I just purchased a 79 granada. for rear end and disk brakes, the rear end loads from rear what rear is this? as I uderstand the front disk brakes will change to my 70 mod. maverick, Is there any thing special I should know.
If it has the rear cover, it is an early relative to the 7.5" and 8.8" used in later Fox body cars and Ranger pickups. I think it is an 8.4" ring gear, but not really sure. It would bolt into your car I'm sure. Any other Granada rear would. However there is no advantage to it, unless maybe you broke your stock rear and just wanted a spare to bolt in and get you by until you can do it right. Dave
