Will this work? http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product2_10001_10002_747812_-1 If so, Do I just hook up a spark plug boot to each end?
No. That is for a coil wire. Run the battery cable along the subframes and use cable mounts available from any Lowe's or Home Depot electrical department.
I had my wires running under the car, but since I have the seats and carpet out, I figured I would pull them inside and run them along the frame and through the kickpanel and out the firewall. If at all possible, I would like to keep from having to just cut a big hole in the firewall and use a grommet, just another hole for hot air to come into the car.
JEGS tech support told me to use this instead... http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productitem_10001_10002_752489_-1_83334 Only $10. Hate to order from JEGS for something that small, and have to pay the $10 handling fee. May have to try a local auto parts store.
hey scott we use those on our work trucks and they work great very seldom do we have problems with them coming loose they work great.
Roland, can you get me one? I cannot find any locally, and I can't see doubling the price by getting it through JEGS and their "handling" fee.
You could use a bulkhead like that... However, I just drilled a hole, installed a heavy rubber grommet and ran my cable through it.
yepper, i did the same as ratio and didnt cost 20 bucks neither! keep that beer money where it belongs.
Like wages said, and if there's a gap around the cable as it goes through the grommet just squeeze a little black silicone around it to seal it up. Derek.
