    1971 ford maverick grabber
    does anybody know weather a 1970 ford 302 flywheel is externally balanced or internally. and if an 85 mustang is external or internal. i need to know this because i may have got a king cobra clutch for the maverick.

    They are both externally balanced.

    Both are externly balanced but your 1970 is 28oz and I am farely sure your 1985 is 50oz so flywheels wont interchange

    The clutch won't fit your old flywheel? The only way you could use the '85 flywheel is to use the matching damper (harmonic balancer). Probably isn't worth the trouble.
