I am courious what your mods are. I have a 250 D5 head milled .060, 1.75 int's and 1.38 exh, 3 angle valve job, 2bbl added 300 cfm Holley and 302 exhaust valve springs, 12 in qty.
The engine has 8.73:1 comp and a 6-2-1 header. The only thing about the header I didn't like is the fact it hits the bell housing. If the header designer mounted the header themselves, they would see my complaint.
My next mod is an MSD 6A box.
Please let me know what your mods are. I am planning another 250 with a more race thinking behind it.
    Thanks,
    Ken
Yep V8 is an option, but why? Everyone already has one, similar to opinions!!!!

I'm just getting to work on mine.. but you'll definitely want to check out www.fordsix.com -- they're forums, especially. Those guys do some pretty hardcore six stuff.

clifford performance is another great site to build some wicked six's. my 73 is currently stock but will someday have a built 250 powering it. clifford has some nice rebuild kits and they advertise some impressive numbers.

your mods are very close to what I built back in high school on the 64 econoline pick up I had. similar head mods, milled .060,same valve size and 3 angle, port divider for 3/4 exh., clifford 6 into 2 header, clifford cam (cant recall the specs) holly 350 2bbl, unilite dist. ....that thing had the coolest sound to it, (dual cherry bomb glass paks):D .

I wouldnt mind doing a 6 again at all,...lot of fun!
