I saw this car on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford...wItemQQcategoryZ6057QQitemZ170094533902QQrdZ1 Anyway, it says "Enthusiasts of these cars will tell you that Ford offered Grabber cars with hoods and decklids in different colors than the bodies for a Muscle car look, hence the hood was intentionally painted in Silver". Personally I have never seen a 'factory' hood/decklid painted in another color. Yes, the grabber stripes... but not the whole hood or decklid in this manor. I wonder who these 'enthusiasts' are? Rocco
Still a nice looking car. Too bad they didn't pay attention to detail underneath. I hate to see a nice looking car on top, then look under and see rusty and muddy caked on grit from 35 years of use...
I have never seen any factory paint scheme that painted the hood & decklid a different color than the body. So my question is whether anyone else ever has?
Hey thats down the street from where I live! I've never seen that car running around here. Are they talking about the Stallion with the hood, roof, and decklid in black? It is a 1976 which would be the correct year.
When they said the sporty grabber had different color hoods and deck lids did they mean the stallion with the blacked out top and bottom? I looked around the headlight and window posts are blacked out on mine. huh. The mirrors are also wrong on theirs. But maybe they were trying to go with the stallion look with the hood? I don't know people are odd.
come on, he painted the car, parked it, and his chainsaw fell off a shelf in his garage and wrecked the paint on the original hood, so he found another in good shape, took his scoops out of the old one to make it look like it was something he was trying to do, and is trying ot sell it like a factory color scheme
