Ok.. so I switched over from a column shifter to a floor shifter for my C4.. Now my question is... how do I get the old column shifter out of the column? It heard the is some kind of pin holding the shifter in there, but when I looked there was what looked like a tiny little cylinder in the base of the stick... I've tried everything to get this thing out... and I don't want to resort to using a hacksaw:cry: Help! lol

hey goon you have to knock it out from the bottom up the pin has a head and is installed with head on top so you have knock it out from the bottom and it should pop right out:thumbs2:

It is a cinch pin. It has no head. It should pound out. Might need to rig up a way and press it out.

I used a punch and tapped it out with a hammer.

a punch is what you have been using your screwdrivers as for the last couple days! hahaha
They are metal tools made especially for hitting things, punching things our, marking holes at the center of things needed to be drilled... Have you ever seen one of those spring loaded centerpunches at harbor freight?

OH! I think I know what those are... I was thinking of just cutting the stick off with a saw, but it might look really ugly lol
