The right color, any bumper looks good. Im sure in a collision the larger bumpers would prevail.

I'm on the side of people who like big bumpers on big bumpered cars and small bumpers on small bumpered cars, ( though I have never heard of someone witching from small to big) Anyway my 74 had big bumpers, so it will stay that way, i do plan to "slide them" inward, to reduce the " park bench look. But i really don't like small bumpers on Camets, someone hear put it best the look like the y have an "Overbite" personally I just don't like it. but if I owned a samll bumper Comet I would still leave it that way

Yeah, why is it that no one EVER changes from small bumpers to big ones??

I will admit that I would rather get rear-ended (if I have to) in a big-bumper car than a small one (and it's happened---'glad it wasn't my '73!), but aside from that, they are hideous on Mavericks/Comets. It was done only because the government mandated it. The car was originally styled for small bumpers because that is what looks best on it...

I like small bumpers on 2-door cars and big bumpers on 4-door cars. I have one of each so I am an equal opportunity bumper owner!

Actually, yeah, I agree with you on that. 4-doors do look better with the big bumpers. probably because they are longer...
