Attended a two day race meet over the weekend. Over 200 cars showed up, I won three rds on Sat. but lost two in a row Sunday to the track points champion But the big winner was a Maverick 351w, took home around 1400.00. Car has been run for many years at our track but has a very capable driver and is consistent as the devil. Hails out of Scranton Arkansas, population of around 120. I think 100 of them dragrace and are all winners at one time or another, points champ this year is from there. No high dollar stuff either, just good solid engines and drivers. The Mav has been at other tracks for big money races and won several of them too. Love that Mav and the windsor.

Will try to get the pics as soon as I get back from my train ride through the Ozarks. Been planning this for several years, got to keep the Mrs. happy, she supports our racing all year and deserves some rewards. Folage is really turning colors and geese are headed somewhere, life is good for this old railroader and certified car nut.
