I ever heard and seen on a Maverick with the exception that it came off of manifolds, was all straight pipe (2-1/2 I think) from the Y back and over the rear into a 3" Super Trap, adjustable plate muffler. That exhaust won me $200 in a best sounding exhaust contest on year. and it was all open pipe to the super trap so it flowed very well
was a muffler very similar to this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-...5QQihZ013QQcategoryZ35596QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem or this http://i12.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/9b/f5/462d_1.JPG
naw thats a supertrap i think you need 3.5 inch dual exhuast AT LEAST Radmav will agree with me on this
I have 2 1/2 inch exhaust and 4" Stainless SuperTrapps on mine. http://mmb.maverick.to/gallery/showimage.php?i=2375&c=41
some board members at ford muscle fairlane thread are vouching for spintech, they say "more deeper and aggressive sounding than flowmasters series 40 !!!!
I bet that sounds schweet. Mine was single exhaust and the muffler that was on mine was before supertrapp first got popular and the muffler for a car was outragously expensive and the guy that built the car got one for a racing bike and used it on the car and it was on there when I bought it....It was basically the same as the supertrapp for a car but it was bigger around than the one the sold for a car at the time...It sounded badazz. I knew people that spent the $$$ for Flowmasters on Moostangs and when they heard my car they liked it better. BTW I had all but 2 of the discs in mine so it was pretty much free flowing....(the more discs, the less restricted the flow) I had to add that because when I first got the car I thought the discs worked as restrictors and I took most of them out and the car got quieter which confussed me until I called the guy that I bought the car from and he told me how the thing actually worked the other way around.....
actually like someone already said, they actually make them for bikes and cars... the one that was on my old 1970 Mav was actually a supertrapp for a racing bike.
