Does anyone know if there are any diffrence between two door drive shafts and four door drive shafts? Are the yokes the same also? I know alot of the later drive shafts ('74 and up?) had that big "ring" thing on the yoke. I am speaking of the early drive shafts that did not have it. Trying to help one of the GA guys out with the parts he needs, but I do not remember which one of the drive shafts I have in my shed came from my 4 door (they all look the same to me).

    Thanks.

Just went out and measured mine. The one from a '73 4 door is 52 1/2" center to center on the u joints. '75 2 door is 45 1/2". BTW, my '73 4 door (RIP  ) came with the "big ring thing" stock on it's c4.

The "ring thing" is a harmonic balancer. Glad y'all posted the lengths, I just got my 331 about ready for the track but the slip yoke that came with the car was too short, it only had about 1" engaged on the splines. I swapped it out with a longer yoke with a damper from a 93 E150 van. When I get the 9" done, that short yoke should be about dead on right if the 9" yoke sticks out farther than the 8" does. I also got lucky in that I had a larger diameter driveshaft that was the same length as the one came with the car, I used that too.
