air filter

    i want to put a holley free-flow air filter on my '75 ford maverick 250, and im wondering what size the carb. neck is?

    ou better check the hood clearance. theres not alot of room under the hood for aftermarket filters on a I6, espically the 250 which is a little taller then the 200.

    It is unlikely the expense is worth the gain on an otherwise stock engine.

    when i did the scoop and open element airclaner on my stock 250 i could feel a little more power, not much but it was there. it was just a 3'' round chrome one i got at autozone for $15 but theres no way in hell it would fit with out a hole in the hood

    try mustangsunlimited.com and run a search for "6 cyl". i think they sell a nice chrome aircleaner that works along with a few other cheap I6 goodies.
