I think I found a 73 LDO in the woods behind a towing company DId not get the vin There is no hood.no motor but most of the interior and trim is there the panels looked rough as most east coast cars do. Bumpers were pretty rusted also.I might go crawl under it and check out the underside and torque boxes. Correct me if I am wrong but the LDO package had the vinyl rubber strip on the side correct.. not a stripe..Also had bucket seats with a rather large headrest looked like a pillow...Never saw a LDO up close could not get the doors open as it was pretty tight with other cars. Are these desirable to try and restore even if the original motor and trans is gone..
Nothing that special about LDO's ... Nice interior but most find the exterior with the big wide body trim and gawdy hubcaps ugly. I would pull the buckets and tracks ... they are worth snagging.
Since 70's never had factory buckets ... the floors plans are not setup for buckets. You will have to fabricate spacers for any seats you put in there ... even if they are Maverick bucket seats. Now if you had a 1971 Maverick ... then yes .... the 73 LDO's would bolt right it ...
I'm still kinda new to the Mav world, so what exactly is an LDO? Just a certain option package? Aaron
