I'm not sure if I ever posted any pictures of our newest Maverick since it was painted and re-assembled. The car still needs new tires and a new exhaust system, but aside from that it is finished. Well, except for the water leaks. Those will get taken care of as soon as I get a chance. It will look much better when it gets it's new wheels to go along with it's new tires. It will have the styled steel wheels like my other Maverick has. It's come a long way from that sorry looking Maverick we literally had to drag off the trailer almost a year ago.
Great job, guys. I know this one was much harder for both of you to rebuild. You both have my utmost respect for your tenacity and perseverance.
looks great Jean....that red looks like the same color I painted on the "retta".....what color is it? Mine was a generic "viper red" by Kirker.....actually matches a rattle can red called "apple orchard" that LOWES sells.
Thanks everyone. The car turned out better than I expected, especially since it sat outside with no protection for 15 years. I'm hoping it will be completely finished by the end of the year. You know how it is when you fix other people's cars. You never have the time or the money to work on your own vehicles. Right now, we have neither. To answer maverick5946's question, the red is the stock Bright Red for the car. If it had'nt been for the red interior, I would have loved to have painted the car blue. Blue is my favorite color, but it seems it is my destiny to own red cars. Before I forget, I would like to thank everyone who helped me find the various odd parts I needed to get this car done. You guys are the greatest.
