just made my motel reservations for the et finals in the second week of october. seems like i'm spending more time in motels than at home. hope to see some of you there. i know a couple of members were talking about being there.
yeah, they broke the season into 2 halves. i've already qualified at firebird in phoenix. i'll wait to make a decision as to which team i go with until i see if i make it in to the race of champions. lost that race last year in the finals. broke a fan wire and ran hot. would like another chance this year. have to wait and see.
i went three rounds at the last one at firebird but didn't join the points because we are going to boise in august and its the same weekend as the firebird race.
next week is tucson. the week after is firebird. leave the next day for the gathering in ky. following sunday leave for dulles, va and the roundup. the following weekend is again tucson. then firebirdm then tucson again. then i get a week off. then tucson again. when are you going to find time to go to boise.
we are going to dallas for a drr race when you go to ky and then boise is the same weekend as firebird #7
I wanted to go but I doubt I will make the team now. I had to miss a race which dropped me way down in points. We have 3 more races coming up so if I do really good maybe there's still a chance to make the team.
Don, yesterday I made it to the finals , but lost first round on Saturday, so I'll have to see where that puts me in points. I think we have one more race. Thanks for the encouragement!
I guess I made it! I guess I made the Pro class California Dragway team, so I guess I'll be going to Vegas for the ET finals!!! I've never been so it sounds like it will be fun...I have to get a NHRA membership and a NHRA number. Hope to see some of you there.
We are still struggling through the points at Firebird. We went out first round at the last race and I don't know where that puts us. It was a tough loss, we ran a 10.734 on a 10.73 dial and he beat us at the tree. That was a tough one, but our competitor was all the gentleman and came over to shake our hands. Nice guy. Well we are all going to the off road race in Snowflake this weekend then it's out to Firebird the next weekend. All this and I'm looking for a job right now. Bad timing all around!
