Cold start problem

    MapleMav, I am looking at a similar problem, just wondering what the outcome was with your cold start problem. I adjusted my choke tonight, and will check it again in the morning, but I seen your post, and I was wondering what you did to resolve the problem.

    It was the choke plate, it was staying wide open.

    Bit slow in getting around to responding about this. My solution turned out to be swapping to a different carb. I scored a brand new edelbrock 1405 (manual choke) dirt cheap on eBay, and it runs like a top now. I think the old carb was just too far gone, even after rebuilding it I tried everthing under the sun to get it to run right and it just wouldn't...
